Colorado Mesa University offers limited summer housing for students who will be enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester. Summer housing is provided as a short-term accommodation and may differ from the academic year residential experience.

Summer to Fall Move Date

Students transitioning from Summer housing to Fall 2026 housing must plan to move on July 31, 2026. Extensions cannot be granted. Students should ensure they are in town and available to move between assignments that day.

Residence Life cannot store personal belongings or hold summer housing spaces beyond July 31.

Applications are reviewed and assigned in the order they are received, and space is limited.

If you do not have a deposit on file, you will need to submit the $50.00 application processing fee and $150.00 pre-payment with the submission of your application.

If space remains available after May 22, students may continue to apply for summer housing by contacting Residence Life to request access to the application. Late applications will be assigned based on available space. The final move-in date for summer housing is June 30.

Students must be accepted to Colorado Mesa University and enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours for the Fall 2026 semester to be eligible for summer housing.

Summer housing will primarily be located in Aspen Hall. If additional space is needed, Residence Life may assign students to Walnut Ridge.

Summer housing assignments do not carry over to Fall 2026 housing assignments.

Summer housing may require students to share a room regardless of their spring or fall housing assignment.

Residence Life reserves the right to relocate summer residents or adjust housing locations based on occupancy, maintenance needs, conferences, or operational requirements.

Students currently living on campus will remain in their Spring assignment until May 22.

Moves from spring assignments to summer housing will begin on May 22 at 3:00 PM.This allows time for spring apartment occupants to move out and for the apartments to be cleaned for new residents.

Students must move out of their spring assignment no later than May 22 and should plan to be on campus and available to move that day.

Summer housing applicants who do not live on campus during the spring semester (new residents), move in will take place on Saturday, May 23rd.

$259 per week

Summer housing is billed by the week rather than by the night.

Because billing is processed weekly, partial weeks are not prorated. Once a housing week begins, the full weekly rate will be charged regardless of move-out date.

Personal belongings left in a room indicate the space is still occupied and charges will continue to apply.
