Orientation

Colorado Mesa University offers Student Orientation programs to prepare new students for their educational careers at CMU. The programs are designed to acquaint you with the campus, students, faculty and staff. Students must bring a government issued photo ID to Orientation.

The spring 2019 Orientation sessions are December 17, 2018 and January 11, 2019. Each Orientation program will be held in Dominguez Hall from 1pm to 5pm. Check-in begins at 12:30pm. A meal is not included during Orientation so please plan accordingly.

Registration for Orientation will open on MAVzone for spring 2019 admitted students in mid-October.

At Orientation, you will:

Pre-Orientation Testing

Certain courses require tests prior to registration. Depending on your SAT or ACT score, you may need to take placement tests to determine your courses. If you need to take placement tests, testing is strongly recommended prior to Orientation. If you are unable to do so, you will have the opportunity to test on the day of Orientation. Not sure if you need to test?
