Silver Sage Apartments

Well-maintained two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom, two-story apartments offer a comfortable and convenient living experience just a five-minute walk from campus. Overlooking a beautifully landscaped courtyard with mature trees, this community provides a peaceful atmosphere while being within walking and biking distance of Colorado Mesa University.
Each apartment includes all major kitchen appliances, furnished bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen/dining area for a move-in-ready experience, along with a free on-site laundry facility.
Silver Sage also carries an 11.5 month lease beginning on August 15th and ending on July 31st, similar to a standard off-campus apartment lease - once signed, students commit to the full term of the lease period, even if they choose to move out early. Residence Life remains your point of contact for community standards, roommate concerns, and general support throughout your time at Silver Sage.
Living at Silver Sage: What to Know
Silver Sage Apartments offer a bit more independence than our on-campus halls, and a few things work differently. Here's what residents should know about parking, packages, pets, and winter break.
Eligibility and Maintenance
Silver Sage is available to upperclassmen students only. Because it's leased by CMU from a property management company, it operates a bit differently than our on-campus halls: maintenance requests (lighting, heating, cooling, plumbing, laundry, etc.) are handled directly by the property manager rather than through CMU's maintenance request process.
Parking
Residents of Silver Sage are not required to purchase a residential parking pass, and parking is not reserved for Silver Sage residents specifically. There is a limited number of parking spaces available in the complex's own lot, and additional parking is available on surrounding streets, so residents should pay close attention to posted signage. Students who plan to drive to and from campus regularly are encouraged to purchase a commuter pass or value lot pass for more consistent, convenient parking near campus.
Packages and Mail
Unlike on-campus halls, Silver Sage doesn't have a central desk attendant for package delivery. Most packages are delivered directly to your unit, and if a package is too large for your mailbox, carriers will typically leave it outside your apartment door. Residents who prefer not to have packages left at their door can work directly with carriers to arrange pickup at an alternate location:
- FedEx: Request delivery to a local FedEx store for pickup
- UPS: Arrange delivery to a UPS location for pickup
- USPS: Work with your local post office to hold packages for pickup
