Peer Notetaker Employment Process

EAS prioritizes applicants enrolled in the course that has a peer notetaker request versus students who can attend the class as an hourly position. Students hired by EAS for a peer notetaker position will follow the process outlined below.

Step 1

Notetaker Application

Potential peer notetaker will provide a sample of notes from the course in question or another course. The notetaker agrees to attend class regularly or arrange a substitute for missed classes. The notetaker agrees to provide complete, thorough, and legible notes (digital or handwritten is acceptable). The potential notetaker can email [email protected] to apply for a specific course position.
Step 2

AIM Profile

The hired Peer Notetaker will setup a profile in AIM to facilitate the exchange of notes. Complete all requested information in the Notetaker Application link below.
  1. AIM Notetaker Profile Setup

Step 3

Course Assignment

Once the notetaker AIM profile has been established, EAS will assign the notetaker to the requested course.
  1. Previous Peer Notetaker

Use the linked guide to connect your AIM profile to a specific course.

Step 4

Upload Notes to AIM

Upload notes from each lecture within 48 hours of each class dismissal. Notes should be uploaded as a single file for a single course. Notetakers that do not post notes to AIM within 48 hours regularly are subject to discontinuation of employment without payment.
  1. Single File Creation

Use the Microsoft OneDrive app to easily scan handwritten notes into a single document to upload into AIM.

Notetaker Responsibilities

  • Notes should be organized, readable, and thorough
  • Notes will be uploaded to AIM for the course within 48 hours of each class' dismissal
  • Notetakers must arrange a substitute if the Notetaker will be absent from class
