When To Schedule Exams in EAS
Use the following checklist to determine if you should request to take your exam in EAS with your accommodations.-
Want Accommodations - Take in EAS
Testing accommodations can not be guaranteed or provided in the classroom, so students should decide before the date of the exam if testing accommodations are desired.

Assessment is Proctored - Take in EAS
The exam or quiz is being proctored by the instructor in-class or requires the student to test in a testing facility.

Schedule Exam to Take in EAS
Exam/quiz requests must be submitted at least 2 business days before the date of the assessment - this does not include weekends. Final exam requests are required the Monday before Finals Week.
Steps to Request Assessment in EAS
- Log into the AIM PORTAL
- Select "Alternative Testing" under Accommodations on the left side of your student overview.
- Select the course you want to schedule the exam in EAS for - be careful to select the correct one (lecture versus lab). Select "Schedule an Exam"
- Complete the "Exam Request" form including which accommodations you want to use for the exam.
- Once completed select "Add Exam Request"
- A Check Mark at the top of the page will indicate the form was successfully submitted.
- The AIM portal will email the student a receipt that the request was completed.
- EAS faculty will review your request for day and time accuracy for the course before notifying faculty of your request.
- Student will receive an email reminder the day before the exam is scheduled to take place.
Important Things to Remember:
- Students should schedule their accommodated tests for the same time the WHOLE class is scheduled to take the test. If there are extenuating circumstances AND you must test at a time different from your classmates, please use the “Additional Note” box to explain.
- If you are scheduling an exam within 48 hours or less of the test time you will be required to provide a reason for your late request before the form will be submitted.
- Online exams that do not need to be proctored should not be scheduled through the AIM portal-please email your professor to let them know you wish to use your approved accommodations. Contact EAS if you need assistance with any type of assistive technology for your online exams.
