Submissions are now open for the 36th Annual CMU Juried Student Art Exhibition. This call is open to all currently registered CMU students. The exhibit will run from December 4, 2026 through January 28, 2027 at the 437CO Gallery (437 Colorado Ave., Grand Junction, CO). This year’s juror is Collin Parson.
The entry fee for submissions is $15 per person, which goes toward juror fees and prize money.
Application process
Submit Registration Form
Complete the online form to submit your works to the exhibition. Up to three (3) works may be submitted per person via this submission form. Images should be high-quality (print quality 300 dpi at 5”x7”). File size limit is 5MB, file format JPG or JPEG (no HEIC files). For each image submitted you will be asked to provide:
- Title (max 65 characters)
- Medium
- Dimensions (H x W x D in inches)
- Price (437CO Gallery takes 40% commission; works may be Not for Sale).
Pay Entry Fee
- To complete your entry submission, you will need to pay the $15 entry fee in person by Friday, October 30th, at 4:00p.m. Payments are received in Kephart Fine Arts, FA 200 Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Credit cards, tap-to-pay, and cash are accepted.
- Bring a screenshot/copy of your confirmation page with you. You may pre-pay and return with your confirmation page.
- If fees are not received by the deadline, work will not be included for consideration.

Additional Information
Accepted artists will be notified by email on November 10, 2026 and asked to complete a consignment agreement for the accepted work(s) by November 15, 2026. This agreement enables the gallery to insure the artwork while it is in the custody of 437CO Gallery.
Professional-quality preparation of work is required. 2D work – must have wire for hanging on back (no sawtooth, easel-back, or single-point hangers). Works on paper must be framed and under glass (as suitable for the work). Other wall-mounted work must have a hanging device such as a keyhole, French cleat, or other sturdy hanging device. 3D work may be free-standing or suitable for presentation on a pedestal; suspended work will not be accepted for this exhibition. Any work not suitably prepared for exhibition or that misses the delivery deadline will be omitted from the exhibition and not eligible for prizes.
- Accepted work must be delivered to 437CO Gallery, 437 Colorado Ave., Grand Junction on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (noon).
- Unsold work must be collected by the artist at the end of the exhibition. Pick-up of works is Friday, January 29, 2027, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. If someone other than the artist will be picking up the work, advance arrangements must be made with the Gallery Director.
- Sold work will be transferred to the new owner by the gallery.
- Uncollected work will be held by the gallery for 30 days but will not be insured after January 29th, 2027.
