Current Exhibition

The CMU 437CO Art Gallery is pleased to announce our newest show, My Plant Friend: a Force of Nature, with Laura Grosset and friends.

Verdant, lush, fragrant, dangerous, parasitic, monumental, or miniscule - plants are everywhere. We live in harmony with some, conflict with others.  In addition to their aesthetic value, plants provide oxygen, food, and habitats for other forms of life.  They can be medicinal or toxic.  Their relationship with the pollinators they depend on is highly complicated.  Steeped in symbolism and history, the vegetation of our world has evolved alongside us and shaped both our society and survival.

A play off the popular podcast, Hello, Print Friend, this exchange invites artists to explore the expansive world of plants that make up roughly 80% of life on earth.

Stop by Tuesday , February 3rd, 2026 - Thursday, February 26th, 2026, to see this exhibition! The show will have an opening reception on Friday, February 6th, 2026, 5:00-8:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
