The Marketing and Communications team provides writing, editing and storytelling support to help share CMU’s news, achievements and impact with the campus and community. We create clear, engaging and audience-focused content that supports university communications and brings CMU’s stories to a broader audience.

Copywriting

The team writes and edits copy for a wide range of university materials, including brochures, postcards, emails, webpages, flyers, advertisements, campaigns and other print and digital communications. We work to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, audience-centered and aligned with CMU’s voice and brand standards.

 

Storytelling

The team creates stories for CMUnow that highlight university news, student and faculty achievements, campus initiatives, events and programs. These stories help inform internal and external audiences while showcasing the people, ideas and experiences that define CMU. Stories with potential for a longer-form feature may also be considered for the Maverick Magazine.
