Hometown: Redwood City, CA
Background: On a gap semester with NOLS I became aware of the lack of access to education and leadership in outdoor spaces for women because of physical differences and buried subconscious. This unequitable access to education and opportunity opened my eyes, and I wanted to create change in the industry I was entering. This led me to co-found and serve as the president of the Women's Outdoor Leadership Initiative (WOLI) at the University of Utah. Through WOLI, I found a passion for way education can open people's minds and unlock worlds they didn't know they could belong in. Upon graduating I worked as an instructor and climbing specialist for Outward Bound, helping others discover the magic of green space and their ability to take on challenge.
