In addition to the AAG major, CMU has a minor in archaeology that pairs well with a major in history, sociology, or environmental science. The rich archaeological resources of western Colorado make CMU an exciting place to learn about archaeology. Here, you will the opportunity to learn about Paleoindians and other facets of North American archaeology with Associate Professor John Seebach or historic archaeology and cultural resource management with Adjunct Researcher Douglas Scott. See the AAG research webpage for further information and updates.

There's never been a better time to discover archaeology at CMU. Our program includes research partnerships and internships with the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service and the Museum of Western Colorado.
