Please review each study’s description carefully before choosing to participate. Each listing includes the study format (e.g., online survey, interview), estimated time commitment, number of research credits offered, and any eligibility criteria.
If you choose to participate in a study for course credit, be sure to complete the credit confirmation form at the end of the study. Your responses will be recorded securely and shared only with your instructor for credit purposes.

Study Title: Making Sense of Support: A Qualitative Study of First-Generation Students’ Support in College

Study Format: Individual Interview
Estimated Time Cost: 60-90 minutes
Research credits/Compensation: No research credit. Participants will receive $15 in cash at the end of the interview.
Brief Description: We are inviting first-generation CMU students to participate in a one-on-one interview about their experiences navigating support in college (e.g., peers, faculty/staff, campus resources, and family expectations). This study focuses on how students make decisions about seeking help at important academic moments after the first year. To participate, you must be: a first-generation college student; currently enrolled at Colorado Mesa University; in your second year or above; 18 years or older
