  1. Access the templates in CMU's digital asset management system.
  2. Open your preferred Email Signature.
  3. Click ‘Download’ for the original HTML file.
  4. Once downloaded, open the html file in a browser.
  5. Press Ctrl+a to select all content and Ctrl+c to copy it.
  6. In Outlook, create a new message. (Note, these instructions are for the Outlook destop application on a PC, see additional instructions below.)
  7. Click the ‘Signature’ button on the Message ribbon and then select ‘Signatures…’
  8. Click ‘New’ to create new signature and name it, then press Ctrl + v in the body to paste in the copied signature.
  9. Customize your signature
    • Update the text to your information.
    • Insert any additional information you need included in your signature.
    • Change the color of your email address if it does not match the surrounding text (should be maroon or black)
    • Please note, the signature appearance may vary based on your default outlook theme settings so you may need to further adjust fonts or sizing.
  10. Set as your default signature if desired and click ‘Ok’ to save your new signature.

Instruction Variations

On a Mac desktop application, navigate to settings → signature → click the '+' button to add a new signature.

On the web application, navigate to settings → signature → new signature.
