Hello! My name is Evan Apo, and I am from O’ahu, Hawaii. Specifically from the town of Makakilo. I am a student at Colorado Mesa University, and I am majoring in English with a secondary Education focus. I am also one of two coordinators for the Hawaiian culture club at CMU. My love for the environment brought me to Colorado and CMU. I love nature, and although I am passionate about it, I also feel most comfortable when I get to read and write.
I hope to improve my skills working with students by helping as a tutor in Upward Bound. I had so many amazing resources when I went through school, and I hope to share a bit of that with everyone I get the chance to work with. I want to make sure everyone feels prepared and ready for the future, whether it be college or anything else.
For fun, I love to play DnD, write various stories, play games, and swim.
