Hi! I'm Lissie Winslow, a proud native of the Western Slope with a deep love for the great outdoors. Like many, I embarked on my post-high school journey with a clear vision, only to have it completely change upon graduation. This unexpected twist led me to a transformative year in Minnesota, where I worked closely with youth through an inspiring organization called NET. It was during this time of exploration that I began to unravel the path to my true calling.
My journey led me to CMU, which nurtured my passions and helped me carve out a meaningful career path. After exploring my options and changing my degree a few times, I ultimately discovered my calling was to guide and support high school students. My degree in education and my time in college led me towards rewarding careers in university admissions, teaching high school social studies, and now as an advisor on the Upward Bound Team! This role allows me to continue my passion for empowering students and to be part of a community of learners and mentors.
