Hi! My name is Gabby Ward (she/her), and I'm excited to be the Upward Bound Advisor at Grand Junction High School! I'm originally from Monument, Colorado and I came to Grand Junction in 2021 to study pure mathematics and statistics at CMU. In my time at CMU, I enjoyed tutoring math and staying involved with the math club. After graduating in December 2024, I've had a unique assortment of jobs ranging from training AI models to working for Eureka's summer programs to tutoring math for the Upward Bound program--- the common denominators being creative problem solving and helping others.
Through advising and providing academic support, I hope to empower students by helping them gain knowledge and confidence, and I am motivated by my passion for academics, the students, and a love for our community.
Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, hiking, reading, and exploring the beautiful outdoors!
