HORN DAY

Join Colorado Mesa University horn professor Dr. Nicholas Gledhill and horn players of the Grand Junction Symphony for the first ever CMU Horn Day! Open to all band directors and horn players of all ages and skill levels. The day will include mass horn choir rehearsals, horn technique classes, master classes, and an afternoon recital featuring all attending horn players!
REGISTRATION
Registration is open through April 18, and Walk-in registrations will be available. Please follow the signs posted in Moss Performing Arts Center to our registration table to sign in and get all your necessary materials for the day. Music will also be sent out to advance registrants early, so get registered online so you have extra practice time!
What to bring- Your instruments! Expect to be playing most of the day, and all participants will play in the final recital!

Lunch (Bring your own or buy on campus)
- Attire: casual. Jeans and nice shirt for the recital.
9:50 am: Welcome!
10:00-11:00 am: Group warm-up and Horn Choir rehearsal
11:00 am-12:00 pm: Horn Class - How to really use the trigger
12:00 pm: Lunch on your own
1:00-2:00 pm: Breakout classes by age group
2:00-3:00 pm: Final rehearsal and recital warm-up
3:00 pm: Recital - Love Recital Hall
