Something not working?

Facilities Services performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all CMU campuses. To help keep track of what needs our attention, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to submit maintenance requests for anything related to campus buildings or grounds that isn't working properly. This includes for all call in requests, a maintenance request will be requested of the caller after the call has concluded.

Tips for a fast work order

  • Always add as many details as you can, this helps us understand how to best help you.
  • Be specific with your location, if we can't find the issue, we'll be unable to help you.
  • Follow up with your work order in the Service Desk portal by:
    • Communicating with the technician assigned to your ticket
    • Providing extra information when requested
    • Understanding what stage your work order is in
  • Add videos and pictures when possible

How to submit a Maintenance Request

In your MAVzone, when you select the 'Service Desk' Application, you will automatically be directed to the Campus Service Desk. Here you can request a variety of services ranging from IT, Digital Learning, and Facilities Services

  1. Begin typing in the search bar the service you need
  2. Once you select the service you need, it's as simple as giving us as many details as you can!
  3. After a ticket has been submitted, you now may track the status of your ticket in the 'My Tickets' menu in the Service Desk.
  4. If you wish to reach out to the team regarding your ticket, simply leave us a note on the ticket and we'll get back to you as soon as we are able to.
