Meet the Coach

Coach Gabriele "Gabbie" Cahill graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2013 with a BA in dance. During her undergrad, she was honored with multiple awards including outstanding performer and choreographer. After graduation she traveled to Las Vegas to rebuild a dance program and create media content through dance film projects.

She returned to Grand Junction in 2015 where she was hired as the program director and coach for the Mavettes Dance Team. Since taking over the Mavettes Dance Team program, the team was able to start traveling and participating in national competitions including USA and Dance Team Union. The Mavettes also participate in UDA and ProAction Dance summer programs, allowing the team to become more diversified.

Coach Gabbie is also an instructor of dance technique and choreographer for the CMU dance program where she teaches jazz, hip hop, ballet, modern and tap.
