DSST examinations allow students to earn credits for knowledge they already have. Students from other institutions should contact their institution for more information. CMU students should consult the College Catalog for specific policies. Exams are 2 hours long.
A student may not earn DSST credit in a class in which they have previously been enrolled including a class from which the student withdrew, so that the transcript shows a W, WP, or WF.
