Information for Colorado Mesa University Students

A student may not earn DSST credit in a class in which they have previously been enrolled including a class from which the student withdrew, so that the transcript shows a W, WP, or WF. The faculty and department heads of each department determine if and under what conditions non-traditional credit is allowed. These non-traditional credits included CLEP, DSST, Credit by Examination/Challenge Exams. If allowed, the following limits apply (includes credits from each type of non-traditional credit); Maximum of 30 semester credit hours for baccalaureate degree, 20 semester credit hours for Associate of Applied Science degree, 12 semester credit hours for an Associate of Arts or Associates of Science degree, and 6 semester credit hours for a technical certificate.

**1XX and 2XX corresponds to a 100 or 200 level course in the department noted.  Example: HIST 1XX would grant credit for a 100 level History course.
