Students considering a study abroad experience should first research the programs offered by CMU and read carefully through the information found on the study abroad webpages. Then connect with us! Each semester, the Study Abroad Office offers general information sessions, tabling in the University Center, and open advising hours.

1. Research Programs

Review options provided by our study abroad provider (ISEP) as well as other opportunities for short and long-term study abroad and away experiences.

2. Start an Application

If applying to an ISEP study abroad or an NSE study away program, start an application when ready! Reach out to our office for instructions on applying to a foreign university partner and for faculty-led programs, contact the academic department leading the trip.

3. Questions?

After researching programs, contact the Study Abroad office to:

  • Schedule an advising session
  • Receive a step-by-step guide to starting your study abroad application
  • Find out when the upcoming study abroad tabling and information sessions are. Information sessions and tabling change each semester, so reach out if you'd like the current semester schedule!
