In 2024, the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) announced Colorado Mesa University as a First Generation-Serving Institution. With 4,423 first-generation students at CMU - making up 46% of the student body - we are proud to serve and support these trailblazers who are the first in their family to earn a degree.
