Colorado Energy Scholars
Recognizing Colorado's most outstanding energy student.
In partnership with West Slope Colorado Oil & Gas Association, The Colorado Mesa University Foundation created a new endowment that will provide an annual scholarship award to Colorado's most outstanding student pursuing a future career in Western Colorado's diverse energy industries.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the scholarship award, a Colorado student must demonstrate through essay, extracurricular activities and academic performance the skills necessary to become a high performing future energy professional. A student needn't be enrolled to apply for the scholarship but the scholarship applies only to CMU programs. Campus energy related programs include Landman/energy management, mechanical engineering, environmental science, geology, machining, welding or process systems technology.
What benefits does the scholarship provide?
The scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student pursuing a degree in an energy related field who is attending or planning to attend Colorado Mesa University. The award amount will be $4,000 per semester and is good for one academic year. The award will be presented each year at the West Slope Colorado Oil & Gas Association Annual Banquet in February hosted by Colorado Mesa University.
Applications will be accepted October 1, 2016 - January 31, 2017.
