Research misconduct, which includes fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism, is contrary to the interests of CMU, the integrity of research, the health and safety of the public, and the responsible stewardship of public funds. In alignment with federal regulations and agency requirements, CMU deals promptly and thoroughly with any allegations or evidence of possible misconduct and upholds its duty to ensure that all research conducted under its auspices meets the highest ethical standards.

How to Report Research Misconduct

Reporting concerns about possible research misconduct helps Colorado Mesa University meet its responsibility to ensure the integrity of research and the proper stewardship of public and institutional resources. CMU reviews all allegations in a prompt and thorough manner and protects the confidentiality and rights of those involved to the extent possible. Individuals who wish to report a concern may use the Research Misconduct Reporting eForm. The form includes an option to report anonymously. 

Individuals may also contact CMU's Research Integrity Officer directly to discuss or report any misconduct concerns.
