Highlights from our Study Abroad in Spain, Summer 2022
During the Summer of 2022 Dr. Thomas Acker and Dr. Tyler Anderson carried out our inaugural study abroad to Córdoba, Spain in connection with the Universidad de Córdoba. The agreement with this University is only the second such formal agreement between a foreign university and Colorado Mesa University.
Trip Highlights
Some of the highlights of the trip:
- The trip took place from May 27 to July 2
- Students earned up to six credits
- Classes include the option for a Maverick Milestone course (a course that all CMU students have to eventually take to graduate, so why not do it in Spain!)
- Students lived and ate with host families and experience the Spanish culture intimately on a daily basis
- We took excursions to Madrid, Sevilla, and Granada
- Students had the weekends free to travel to other parts of Spain
