Disability Related Absences - Faculty Information

How does a student become eligible for this accommodation?

Educational Access Services professional staff will meet with the student requesting the accommodation, review supporting documentation, and conduct an interactive conversation about the student's disability and the impact on attending classes. When Disability-Related Absences (DRA) are deemed reasonable and a student is eligible for this accommodation, the student will be expected to communicate with the professor to establish a DRA Agreement. This agreement stimulates a conversation between the student and instructor to determine the number of absences a students can afford without disrupting the integrity of the course as well as how the student should expect to make up any missed assignments or exams.
