Water Law In A Nutshell
In partnership with the Ruth Powell Hutchins Water Center, this course provides an introduction to the legal principles governing water rights and ditch rights in Colorado. Topics include the appropriation, adjudication, perfection, use, limitations, attributes, abandonment, and enforcement of various types of water rights. The course also examines special rules governing groundwater, public rights in appropriated water, interstate water compacts, and other foundational aspects of Colorado water law.
