Meet Our Water Fellows

Five CMU students from five unique majors were selected to participate in the Colorado Water Fellows program in September 2026. With the help of our sponsors, the Water Center is proud to introduce this year's cohort! Please contact our Water Fellows Coordinator Jordan Strickler with questions.

LEARN ABOUT OUR 2026 - 2027 COHORT!

In partnership with Colorado State University, the Colorado Water Fellows Program advances the next generation of water leaders by training and connecting undergraduate and graduate students from all majors and disciplines to careers and opportunities in the water field. This program invites students who want to learn how water shapes every part of their lives and reflect on the full complexity of water challenges. We aim to unite students who connect water to a wide range of fields; there is no single "right" background, and your unique connection to water matters most.

This program includes a $1,000 stipend, free attendance at water conferences, field trips, connections for water internships/job opportunities, and monthly meetings delving into critical topics such as water law, water equity, water careers, Tribal perspectives, and water approaches including graywater, stormwater, and recycled water.
