Important Information for Colorado Mesa University Students:

A student may not earn CLEP credit in a class in which they have previously been enrolled including a class from which the student withdrew, so that the transcript shows a W, WP, or WF. Each academic department determines if and under what conditions nontraditional credit is allowed. These non-traditional credits include CLEP, DSST, and Credit by Examination/Challenge Exams. If allowed, the following limits apply (includes credits from each type of non-traditional credit); max of 30 semester credit hours for baccalaureate degree, 20 semester credit hours for Associate of Applied Science degree, 12 semester credit hours for an Associate of Arts or Associates of Science degree, and 6 semester credit hours for a technical certificate.

*Students with credit for ENGL 111 may take the College Composition exam for ENGL 112 credit only.

**Scores will be sent to the score recipient 3-4 weeks after the test date.

If preferred, there is a printable version of the CLEP Informational brochure
