  • A minimum of 3.0 cumulative grade point average of the last 60 credits may be considered for a holistic approach. 
  • A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required for each prerequisite course. If under a minimum of 2.7, there may be special considerations for a holistic approach. 
  • Evidence of completion of a Bachelor's degree and all prerequisites must be submitted prior to the start of the program.
  • Post-Baccalaureate prerequisite credits must be approved by the MSOT program in OTCAS.
  • The MSOT program does not accept Advanced Placement, experiential learning, or work experience as credit for any required course. Post baccalaureate prerequisite credits must be approved by the MSOT program in OTCAS.
Course Description Semester Credits
Human Anatomy When Anatomy and Physiology are taken as a combined course, a complete sequence of 2 semesters (A&P I and II) are required. 


One Semester of Anatomy with Lab or the combined A&P Course

Human Physiology  See above.


Physiology Lab optional

Statistics Course must include descriptive and inferential statistics, inclusive of hypothesis testing. A course in research design is acceptable if it covers the relevant statistics.
Abnormal Psychology Courses titled Psychopathology or Psychology of Deviance or similarly titled may also be accepted. 3
Developmental Psychology Course must include content on child development and must address theories of development. Courses titled Lifespan Development, Child Development, Child Psychology, Human Growth and Development or similarly titled may also be accepted.  3
Medical Terminology Basic medical terminology as applied to major systems of the body and related diseases. Includes special applications in relation to medical practice with emphasis on spelling.  1
