Welcome to living and learning at Colorado Mesa University. For students living in a non-apartment style hall, you will be required to participate in one of our resident meal plans.

*These meal plans must be purchased through the Residence Life Office.

2026-2027 Residential Meal Plans:

There are many advantages to our Resident Meal Plans.

• All you care to eat in The Caf. Just use your MAVcard ID to verify your plan and you are on your way.
• Choose from 4 meal plans that allow your day to begin at breakfast, 6:45am.
• The Caf is open from:
  • 6:45am - 8:30pm Monday - Thursday
  • 6:45am - 8pm Friday
  • 8am - 1:30pm for brunch and 5pm- 8pm for Dinner Saturdays and Sundays.
• MAVmoney per semester, added to the meal plans.
  • MAVmoney gives you the ability to grab a snack or meal at one of our many retail locations on campus and on the CMU Tech campus.
• Do you have a special dietary request? Talk with our Registered Dietitian to make sure we have the selections for you!

Maverick Unlimited - $6,620

This price covers a full year, spanning from the start of the fall semester to the conclusion of the spring semester within the same calendar year.

Unlimited access to The Caf

• This meal plan includes $500 of meal plan money per year.
• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal

Maverick Flex+ - $6,670

This price covers a full year, spanning from the start of the fall semester to the conclusion of the spring semester within the same calendar year.

15 anytime meals per week in The Caf

• This meal plan includes $1200 of meal plan money per years.
• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal

Maverick Flex - $5,990

This price covers a full year, spanning from the start of the fall semester to the conclusion of the spring semester within the same calendar year.

15 anytime meals per week in The Caf

• This meal plan includes $500 of meal plan money per.
• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal

2026-2027 Apartment Meal Plans:

For students living in the our on campus apartments, these meal plans are designed specifically for you!

Maverick Apartment - $3,900

This price covers a full year, spanning from the start of the fall semester to the conclusion of the spring semester within the same calendar year.

5 anytime meals per week in The Caf

• This meal plan includes $200 of meal plan money per year.
• This meal plan includes a $1,250 voucher for Hello Fresh meal delivery voucher per year
• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal

Wingate and Aspen Residents - $3,290

Aspen or Wingate apartment residents are automatically enrolled into The WA plan. This plan includes 7 meals per week with $200 of MAVmoney per year included.

7 anytime meals per week in The Caf

• This meal plan includes $200 of meal plan money per.
• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal
  • This plan is not an option for residents outside of Wingate and Aspen apartments, however, you may upgrade to any of the above meal plans!

Note: Spring Residential Meal Plans, MAVmoney from those plans, and any carried over from the most recent fall semester will expire at the end of the spring semester each year. 

Meal Transfers

You may use one meal plan swipe as meal transfers at select locations across campus. Meal Transfers are available at Flat Top Grill, and Chick-fil-A in The University Center, What The MAV?, Qdoba, and Einstein Bros Bagels in Tomlinson Library, and The Scramble in CMU Tech.

*Limited hours and menus may apply*

Students on a Resident meal plan may use one meal transfer per day. On the "15"  plans, a transfer counts as one of your weekly swipes. You cannot use a transfer if you’ve already swiped into the dining hall during the same meal period. After using a transfer, your meal plan will be locked for 30 minutes, but MAVmoney remains available.

For students living in our on campus apartments or any other off campus residences, there are meal plans created just for you! Let us do the shopping, cooking, and cleaning for you. Plus, staying on campus for a snack or meal, you won't lose that "great" parking space you found during the day.

2026 - 2027 Commuter Meal Plans

There are many advantages to our Commuter Meal Plans:

• All you care to eat in the dining hall. Visit us as many times during the day as you wish. Just use your MAVcard ID to verify your plan and you are on your way. Per meal cost is less than the average cash price at The Caf's door!
• MAVmoney is included with all meal plans listed below. MAVmoney gives you the ability to grab a snack at retail locations around campus and on the CMU Tech campus. 
• Dine when and where you want. We have options from 6:45am-11pm almost everyday!
• Let us help you save time by doing the shopping, cooking and cleaning for you! You will have more time to study.

MAV Commuter 20 - $355

This plan covers 20 anytime dining hall meals and $100 in MAVmoney which can be used at any of the campus dining locations.

20 anytime meals per week in The Caf

• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal

MAV Commuter 40 - $700

This plan covers 40 anytime dining hall meals and $200 in MAVmoney which can be used at any of the campus dining locations.

40 anytime meals per week in The Caf

• This meal plan includes $200 of meal plan money per year.
• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal

MAV Commuter 80 - $1,280

This plan covers 80 anytime dining hall meals and $300 in MAVmoney which can be used at any of the campus dining locations.

Meal Transfers

You cannot use a transfer if you’ve already swiped into the dining hall during the same meal period. After using a transfer, your meal plan will be locked for 30 minutes, but MAVmoney remains available.

*If you are a current CMU Student, these meal plans can be purchased in the MAVcard Office or by clicking here. If you are a parent, guardian, or family member of a CMU Student, you may make the purchase for your student by clicking here. All you need to know is the Student's CMU ID.

2025 - 2026 Faculty/Staff Meal Plans

Mavily Meal 10 - $110

This includes 10 anytime meals in the dining hall. There is no MAVmoney attached to this plan.

Mavily Meal 25 - $260

This includes 25 anytime meals in the dining hall. There is no MAVmoney attached to this plan.

Mavily Meal 50 - $500

This includes 50 anytime meals in the dining hall. There is no MAVmoney attached to this plan.

Faculty/Staff may elect to pay for meal plans or MAVmoney using payroll deduction.  Payroll deductions are broken up over pay periods per semester.  To enroll, click here.

MAVmoney

CMU Students, Staff, and Faculty, can make MAVmoney deposits online. Family members and friends can deposit money to their student's account by clicking here.

MAVmoney comes with our resident meal plans and MAV Plans too. MAVmoney is an on campus declining balance account that can be used at any of the campus dining services locations.
