  • State of the River - Mesa County, May 2 6:30pm - 8:15pm, CMU University Center Ballroom.  Learn about this year's snowpack and reservoir operations, the 75-year history of the Colorado River District, and current statewide water planning efforts. Free & open to the public.  Co-sponsored with the Colorado River District.
  • "What's Happening with our Climate in Western Colorado," Feb 29, 7-9pm presentation by Nolan Doesken, Colorado State Climatologist, at the John McConnell Math & Science Center.
  • Water Course - 3 evening seminar series for the general public, Feb 9 (Water Law & local management), 16 (Water Supply) & 23 (Water Quality & nutrient rulemaking) , Ute Water (22 Rd & H 1/4), Grand Junction. 
  • Rain Gauge Training & Water 2012 Kickoff for K-12 Teachers, February 3, 2012, 2:30pm, John McConnell Math & Science Center.  TV coverage.
  • "Natural Resources of the West" fall seminar series organized by Dr. Gigi Richard and Dr. Tamera Minnick, every Monday evening from 4-5:30pm.  This year's topic was "Restoration." All seminars are free and open to the public.
  • Upper Colorado River Basin Water Forum, October 31, 2011.  This all-day forum provided an opportunity for water experts focused on the Upper Colorado River Basin to share information about current projects and ideas for future projects. 
  • "Water Law in a Nutshell" October 14, 2011.  This 8-hour course taught by Attorney Aaron Clay covered all aspects of the law related to water rights and ditch rights as applied in Colorado.
