Holds

To determine if you have any of the holds below, check out "View Holds" on the MAVzone Students tab. 

The holds must be cleared before you can register for classes.

Admissions HoldStudent must contact the Admissions Office, 1175 Texas Avenue, 248-1875.

Athletic Eligibility HoldThis hold can not be removed while you are on an CMU athletic team. Student must contact the Athletic Department, Saunders 120, 248-1503, to register and adjust schedule.

Advising HoldStudent must contact the Advising Center, LHH 127, 248-1177.

Bad Address HoldStudent must provide current address either in MAVzone or with an Address Change form located on line or in the Registrar's Office. Contact the Registrar's Office, LHH 121, 248-1555.

College Opportunity Fund (COF) Hold: Student must follow the instructions in the hold. For additional information, contact the Registrar's Office, LHH 121, 248-1555.

Concurrent StudentStudent must contact the WCCC Student Services Office, 2508 Blichmann Avenue, 248-2670.

Delayed Disbursement: This hold will not block registration for classes. Student will have their financial aid disbursement delayed for 30 days from the start of classes, for additional information contact the Financial Aid Office, LHH 116, 248-1396.

English Hold: A student who has completed more than 60 hours of course work will not be permitted to enroll in any additional courses until he/she has registered at the Registrar’s Office for the appropriate English course as shown on the hold screen. Students can register for the appropriate English course the day before their registration date at the Registrar's Office. Once registered the Registrar's Office will remove the hold which will allow the student to enroll online at their designated registration date. Exceptions may only be granted by the English Department Head.

Essential Learning Course Hold:  A student who has completed more than 75 hours of course work will not be permitted to enroll in any additional courses until he/she has registered at the Registrar’s Office for the appropriate ESSL 200 and ESSL 290 course. Students can register for the ESSL courses the day before their registration date at the Registrar's Office. Once registered the Registrar's Office will remove the hold which will allow the student to enroll online at their designated registration date. 

Extended Payment Plan: Student must contact Student Financial Counseling , LHH 108, 248-1873.

Financial HoldStudent must contact the Accounting Office, LHH 101, 248-1567.

Incomplete FileAdmissions documents have not been received. Student must contact the Admissions Office, 1175 Texas Avenue, 248-1875.

LASSI Hold: The LASSI hold is placed on all first-time freshmen during their first semester. All first-time freshmen are required to complete the LASSI Inventory, located in your MAVzone, prior to registering for the next semester. The hold is removed the next business day after the LASSI is taken. For more information, contact the Advising Center, LHH 127, 248-1177.

Medical IncompleteBy Colorado law, a student must have proof of two measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) shots. Immunization records signed by a doctor's or appropriate health official or a positive titer test must be provided. Student must contact the Registrar’s Office, LHH 121, 248-1855.

Mentor Hold: Student must meet with a Student Mentor, contact the Mentoring Office, LHH 121, 248-1555.

Pre-Business Advising: Student must contact their Business Advisor or the Department of Business, ACB309, 248- 1778.

Provisional Baccalaureate: Students must set up an advising appointment with the Office of Student Success (OSS) prior to registering for classes.  Office of Student Success, Albers Hall, 248-1340.

Registrar - Stop Out Update: A student who has stopped attending for one semester (excluding summer) will need to contact the Registrar's Office to update general information prior to re-enrollment, LHH 121, 248-1555. A student who sits out more than one semester must fill out a Returning Student Application.

Selective Service Form:By Colorado law, a male student, age 18 or higher, must sign up for selective service at theSelective Service System website prior to enrolling in college. Student must contact the Registrar’s Office, LHH 121, 248-1555.

Social Security Number: CMU is required by the IRS to show proof that we are collecting social security numbers or making attempts to do so in order to comply with the IRS regulation §1.605S-1(e)(4) which requires that institutions report student SSNs on the 1098-T tax form. Therefore, the student must either submit his/her SSN in MAVzone or complete a SSN submission waiver form. By choosing not to submit a SSN to CMU, the student may be subject to IRS fines that could be in excess of $100 per year.

Student Accounts HoldStudent must contact the Office of Student Accounts, LHH 101, 248-1567.

Undeclared MajorStudent must see the Advising Center, LHH 127, 248-1177.
