Group Exercise

Campus Rec Services offers a variety of "Group X" classes in order to meet the needs of the CMU community with varying fitness goals and interests.

We offer between 30-40 classes per week during both the Spring and Fall semesters, and modified schedules during academic breaks. Classes throughout the year can include indoor cycling in our certified Spinning Facility, yoga, strength training, functional and cross-training classes, TRX, Pilates, and Zumba.

In August of 2014, we completed a large renovation and introduced two new state-of-the-art group exercise rooms as well as multiple additional functional training areas. Our fitness areas include a grand sound system, flat screen televisions, and all the accessories needed to get you on the road to a healthier lifestyle.

The new Spinning Certified indoor cycling studio is equipped with 40 new Star Trac NXT Indoor Cycling bikes. Throw in our advanced sound system and you are set to tackle any of our cycling classes and get your fitness routine on track.

If you enjoy the group atmosphere, there is a class for you! Best of all - classes are FREE to all registered CMU students and Faculty & Staff with a current membership!
