The Reisher Scholarship at CMU is a powerful opportunity with both merit- and need-based requirements. Colorado students can earn generous financial support while joining a community that is invested in their growth, success, and future. Reisher is more than a scholarship, it is a launchpad that helps reduce college costs, build confidence, and stay connected to the people and resources that can help you thrive all the way to graduation.
Apply on the CMU Foundation Site!Through financial, academic, and social/emotional supports, the Reisher Ready program seeks to prepare promising students for the Reisher Scholars Program.
The Reisher Ready Program awards up to eight $5,000 tuition and fees scholarships to incoming freshman who meet all the following criteria:
- Colorado Resident
- Senior Graduating from any Mesa or Montrose County High School Spring 2026
- Complete The FAFSA for the Year of Application
- Demonstrate Specific Financial Need as Determined by FAFSA
- Full-Time: Enroll in a Minimum of 12 Credit Hours Every Semester
- Pursue a Four-Year Bachelor's Degree
- High School GPA of 3.0 or Higher
The one year Reisher Ready scholarship is awarded to qualifying/selected incoming freshmen as a launchpad into the full Reisher Scholarship program. By the time your freshman year wraps up, you won't just be eligible to apply for the Reisher Scholarship... you'll be ready for it. Priority deadline for applications is March 30th, 2026.

Make sure the correct FAFSA is completed! Currently, that is the 2026-2027 FAFSA. Please know that two different financial aid years may be active at once when you send CMU your FAFSA.

Complete the General Scholarship Application
Complete the General Scholarship Application by the priority deadline! Current students apply by February 9th, 2026. Reisher Ready high school students apply by March 30th, 2026. Students transfering from any two- or four-year college/university apply by April 20th, 2026.
Complete the Reisher Scholarship Application
After completing the general scholarship application, you will complete an essay question to answer this additional question:
