The annual scholarship application opens October 1st the year prior, with applications being accepted until the priority deadline of the second Monday in February! Any applications submitted after this date may be considered for later opportunities.
Apply For CMU Foundation Funding!Through financial, academic, and social/emotional supports, the Reisher Ready program seeks to prepare promising students for the Reisher Scholars Program.
The Reisher Ready Program awards up to eight $5,000 tuition and fees scholarships to incoming freshman who meet all the following criteria:
- Colorado Resident
- Western Slope High School Senior Graduating from:
- Grand Junction High School
- Central High School
- Palisade High School
- Fruita High School
- Caprock Academy
- Olathe High School
- Montrose High School
- Peak Virtual Academy
- Complete The FAFSA for the Year of Application
- Demonstrate Specific Financial Need as Determined by FAFSA
- Full-Time: Enroll in a Minimum of 12 Credit Hours Every Semester
- Pursue a Four-Year Bachelor's Degree
- High School GPA of 3.0 or Higher
The one year Reisher Ready scholarship is awarded to qualifying/selected incoming freshmen as a launchpad into the full Reisher Scholarship program. By the time your freshman year wraps up, you won't just be eligible to apply for the Reisher Scholarship... you'll be ready for it.

Complete the FAFSA
Make sure the correct FAFSA is completed! Currently, that is the 2026-2027 FAFSA. Please know that two different financial aid years may be active at once when you send CMU your FAFSA.

Complete the General Scholarship Application
Complete the General Scholarship Application by the priority deadline! Currently, that is February 9th, 2026. Hard deadline to apply and have all materials in is February 23rd, 2026.
Complete the Reisher Scholarship Application
After completing the general scholarship application, you will complete an essay question to answer this additional question:

1) "Are you an incoming transfer student from a junior or community college (including CMU Tech students) whose first semester at CMU is Spring, Summer or Fall of 2026?" 2) "How do you see earning your degree impacting your life and community?"
