Yes! Although the CMU Outdoor Program is run through the university, we rent to everyone! That being said, CMU students, alumni, faculty, and staff all get major discounts on our gear rentals.
Anyone can place an order for rental gear through our Equipment Rentals page on our website, or by stopping by the Outdoor Program building.

No, the OP does not rent downhill skis or snowboards. We do, however, rent cross-country skis! We also have backcountry ski trips for students, where we provide all necessary gear.
The Outdoor Program ski/snowboard technicians can wax, edge, and do base repairs. For liability reasons, our ski techs do not work on bindings or perform major repairs. The OP also does not rent ski boots.
