Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument Outdoor Recreation Focus Group Report, 2018

This report presents the results of a focus group study of visitor recreational outcomes and preferences for Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument and surrounding BLM lands in Dona Ana County, New Mexico.  The study was conducted in the fall of 2016 and 2017.  It is part of a national research effort conducted by the Public Lands Recreation Research Partnership.

This report presents the results of a focus group study to establish a recreational baseline for the Grand Staircase region located on the northern half of GSENM in Southern Utah.  It records the fourth phase in a five year study considering recreation and connection to place in various parts of the Monument.

Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument Recreational Experience Baseline Study – Final Comprehensive Report 2019

This report presents the results of a six year long focus group study to establish a recreational baseline for Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and surrounding public lands in southern Utah and northern Arizona.  It compares results from the four phases of data collection (404 participants in 63 focus groups) considering recreation and connection to place in various parts of the study area.
