About your award

Being identified as a CMU Scholar means you have received one of the following renewable merit scholarships. View the terms and conditions of your scholarship for maintenance requirements.

For the Fall 2027 incoming class, the Distinguished Scholar Award will be awarded to Boettcher Scholarship Semi-Finalists and Daniels Scholarship Finalists from Colorado.

Presidential Scholarship
$5,000

Total: Up to $20,000 over four years of study
Academic Achievement Award
$3,000

  • 30% of in-state tuition covered
  • Stackable with reduced out-of-state tuition rates
Total: Up to $12,000 over four years of study

Did you know that your eligibility is automatically reconsidered if your qualifications increase after admission? CMU uses your weighted or unweighted cumulative high school GPA. For Fall 2027-Spring 2028 incoming students, we also encourage you to upload your SAT/ACT score report(s) in your applicant portal if we do not already have your results on file.
