Colorado Mesa University values teaching, learning, and student-faculty interaction. Our professors are dedicated to teaching and put their time and energy into classroom (you won't find a TA around here!). With our outstanding student-to-faculty ratio of 22:1, professors have a chance to be more than teachers -- they become mentors and advisors.

Interaction between students and faculty is commonplace and gives faculty the ability to involve undergraduates in challenging research experiences usually found in graduate programs. In-class instruction is supplemented by a variety of out-of-class opportunities that range from internships and fieldwork in Western Colorado to study groups that travel the globe. In short, Colorado Mesa University offers opportunities found at larger universities, but is small enough to provide students with a personal education.

Dedicated to helping students achieve their goals, our professors create an environment designed to foster a dynamic exchange of ideas and lively classroom discussions.

Programs and services include academic advising, career services, tutoring, special disability services, and Tomlinson Library, open seven days a week with additional support by a statewide online reference program.
