Counseling Supports At CMU
All current students are invited to engage in counseling supports that include mental health, peer support, and skill-based groups. Mental health concerns may include struggles such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse.

Short-Term Counseling
Short-term, goal-centered supports to help address mental health needs within a semester.

Visit All One Health
Students receive three counseling sessions per issue, per year. Counseling is available in person, by video, or by phone. All One Health supports also include life coaching, financial and legal support, medical advocacy, and navigating everyday life

Student Groups
We have several groups on campus: MAV Groups, Substances 101, and Sober Minded! Mav Groups facilitates learning and practicing mindfulness, communication, and managing emotions. Substances 101 and Sober Minded are harm-reduction education classes for drug and alcohol use.

National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI)
It can be difficult to improve your mental health without fully understanding what that means. At NAMI, you'll be connected to mental health education resources, support groups, and a one-on-one helpline. Each of these resources is free and rooted in engagement with your peers.
