Medical treatment and prevention is provided for all CMU students and their minor dependents, similar to the services of a family physician.

  • Physical examinations, pap smears, etc.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of illness
  • Injury treatment and follow-up care
  • Health education
  • Diagnostic laboratory and radiology services
  • Immunizations
  • Family planning education and birth control
  • Free condoms

Co-pay fees

For medical appointments: Students using the Student Wellness Center are required to pay a $15 copay for medical appointments. An additional fee will be charged for special services such as procedures, vaccinations, laboratory tests, imaging, etc. 

For any financial assistance or concerns (due to lack of funds or no insurance) please still come in or call.

Medical services are offered at the Student Wellness Center, 1060 Orchard Avenue, Suite N (north of tennis courts). During extended class breaks (winter, summer) students with medical appointments at the Student Wellness Center will use the urgent care entrance on Orchard Avenue inside the Community Care of the Grand Valley section of the Student Wellness Center.

Hours

Monday - Saturday: 8am - 8pm
Sunday: Noon - 4pm

After hours care

In the event medical care is needed after hours, please use the Community Hospital emergency department located at 2351 G Road. Eligible students receive a 20% discount on all Community Hospital services. Transportation fees, such as an ambulance, are the student's responsibility and charged by the carrier.
