Outdoor Recreation Industry Studies

Students completing the degree in Outdoor Recreation Industry Studies will be prepared to work in one of the largest growing segments of the economy: the outdoor recreation industry. With $887B in consumer spending per year*, the outdoor recreation industry is a powerhouse economic driver that demands a highly skilled workforce. 

Graduates of the outdoor recreation industry studies program will learn through a combination of real-world and classroom experience in a dynamic and multi-disciplinary course of study. Students will learn skills in business management, sales and marketing, alongside adventure programming, guide services and expedition planning. Students will learn how the outdoor industry impacts economies, public health, tourism and the environment.
