Energy and Environment Symposium: Oil and Gas Education for Local Government

This two-day event is tailored to meet the needs of municipal and county officials tasked with navigating planning, social, fiscal, regulatory and environmental issues related to oil and gas development. In 2025, 330 local government staff and elected officials, state regulators, and industry from across Colorado participated.

The local, state and federal regulatory landscape for oil and gas development continues to change at a rapid pace. Please review our 2026 agenda, below, and consider joining us to receive updates regarding planning, social, environmental, legal, regulatory, legislative and fiscal oil and gas issues relevant to local governments, industry and state regulators.

Who can attend?

Anyone who regulates the energy industry on behalf of local governments, including municipal and county planners, city and county elected officials and managers, finance officers, and other local leaders.
