Venue

Brownson Arena is located in the northeast corner of the Maverick Center. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first serve basis. There will be live-streaming rooms available on site.
Seating is available on either side of Brownson Arena. Guests are not allowed in any of the reserved areas. Accessible seating is limited to the guest needing ADA accommodation plus one companion and is also available on a first come, first serve basis.
The Maverick Store will also have commemorative items available for purchase the day of commencement one hour prior to each ceremony just inside the front main entrance of the Maverick Center at the Game Day Store location.
There will be a floral gift kiosk where guests can now purchase flowers on the day or pick up pre-orders of flower bouquets or leis for their graduate! See Caps, Gowns, and Gifts section for link to pre-order flowers.
Parking

Parking near the Maverick Center is limited and car pooling is encouraged. Accessible parking for people with disabilities is also limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please refer to the Parking and Traffic Flow map for lot locations and traffic flow. Parking will be available in all Colorado Mesa University parking lots free of charge.
Although parking is available on surrounding streets and businesses, please utilize the free parking on campus as a note of appreciation for you and as a courtesy to our neighbors. Local businesses will be open on commencement day and parking in their lots is reserved for normal business traffic.
Guests and graduates of the first ceremony should exit the arena and parking lots promptly after the ceremony to avoid congestion of those arriving for the second ceremony.
Guest Instructions

Guests should arrive about 45 minutes before the ceremony at the designated Entrances shown on the Maverick Center map. At this time, guest tickets are not required.
Guests should remain in their seats once the ceremony has started until the commencement speaker has closed the ceremony. Photographs may be taken from your seat. Professional photographers will be taking pictures of your graduate before crossing the stage and as they shake hands with the President.
Guests and graduates should arrange a meeting place outside the Maverick Center prior to commencement day for meeting up with family and friends. For those attending the first ceremony, please make arrangements to leave the parking lot promptly to avoid traffic congestion with those arriving for the second ceremony.
