About Me
Hey y'all! I was born and raised in Southern California but spent most of my life in the Austin area of Texas. I have a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Administration from Texas State University and a Master of Tourism Management (MTM) from Colorado State University. After receiving my undergraduate degree, I began my career working for a special tourism district in Texas, overseeing water recreation along 30 miles of the most heavily used river for recreation in the country, as well as a lake. In 2022, to switch things up, I left Texas and became a Historic Stone Mason for the National Park Service, here at the Colorado National Monument. After playing in the sun for 10+ years, I decided it was time to hop back into an inside job. Mainly because talking to people is a lot more fun than talking to rocks! I love to travel internationally, and try to do at least one trip every other year. As a first generation American, receiving my MTM has been one of the proudest accomplishments I have completed, and I am excited to encourage the next generation to pursue a higher education!
Favorite thing about Grand Junction
The community and variety are my favorite parts of Grand Junction! You can find a second family here and explore beautiful areas. Since moving here, I have learned how to snowboard, outdoor rock climbing and am currently learning how to mountain bike! I love taking my pups on some of the BLM trails and going on day trips to cool little mountain towns. My advice is to go to community events, meet new people and check out all the West Slope (Best Slope) has to offer!
