Apply to CMU
Apply for admission to CMU, no additional application required to be eligible for CMU promise. Note: The Spring and Fall 2027 application launches on Monday, August 3.

Complete financial aid application
Adjusted gross income (AGI) information is pulled from the FAFSA or CASFA. The FAFSA and CASFA applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are now available, applications for the 2027-2028 academic year open October 1, 2026.

Choose your degree
Choose your path on a financial aid eligible undergraduate degree (certificate, associate or bachelor degree) at CMU or CMU Tech. The CMU Promise does not apply for students who have a prior Bachelor's degree, non-degree seeking or master/doctoral students.

Confirm residency
You must be a Colorado resident or a member of the Southern Ute, Mountain Ute, or Uintah-Ouray Tribes.

First-time, returning and transfer students who are traditional age or adults are all eligible if other criteria are met.
