If you are considering taking a semester or more off from CMU, please follow these important steps to ensure a smooth transition:

Step 1: Make sure you are not enrolled in any classes for the semester you plan to take off. If you have already registered, you must submit a Semester Withdrawal eForm.

Step 2: If you were intending to live on campus, notify Residence Life that you will not require on-campus housing or a meal plan for the semester. If you are already living on campus, reach out to your RA to let them know you are planning to withdraw and move off campus. 

Step 3: Log in to ePay to review and resolve any outstanding balances on your student account. We recommend checking your account again several weeks after your departure, as additional charges may be assessed after your withdrawal.

Step 4: Contact Parking Services to cancel your parking permit, if applicable.
