Maryam Abuissa is teaching Introduction to Programming in Python and Introduction to AI this fall. Abuissa loves working with students one-on-one and in small groups to help ensure that all students are engaged. They are currently interested in computer science education research, especially how to use (or avoid) technology and AI to benefit student learning.
Abuissa specializes in computer science theory and has conducted research in data mining and probabilistic algorithms.
Outside of teaching, Abuissa loves spending time in the mountains, playing board games and making art.
