Exit Survey for Graduates

All graduates, regardless of attending the commencement ceremony, should complete the Exiting Graduate Survey in May. It will be administered via laptops setup directly outside the Maverick Store at the same time as the cap and gown pickup. The survey, which inquires about plans after graduation, should take approximately 5 minutes to complete. The results will help academic departments and the institution better prepare students for life after college.

Online Streaming of the Commencement Ceremony

For your guests who will be out of town, but want to share the moment, the ceremony will be broadcast online. The online broadcast will begin ten minutes before the ceremony at ColoradoMesaLive. The video will be available after the ceremony using the On Demand link on the streaming website.

Weather Conditions

Grand Junction weather can change dramatically and the outdoor ceremony will take most of the morning. Please be aware of the forecast and come prepared for both the expected and unexpected. We suggest a hat, sunscreen, bottled water, jacket, poncho or umbrella. In the event of severe weather, the ceremony may be moved indoors.

Ticket/Guest Limit

As long as the ceremony is held outside at Stocker Stadium-Lincoln Park there is no limit to the number of family and friends you invite to the ceremony. However, in the case of severe weather, there will be a limit of four guests per graduate due to the smaller facility in the Brownson Arena. The four indoor ceremony tickets will be mailed to you by the end of April.
