What We Do

Peer tutoring is offered to all CMU and CMU Tech students at the main campus, online, and at various satellite locations for free. Walk-ins and appointments are both available to fit your scheduling needs. Once you come into the CAS Main office, you will be directed to/paired with a tutor for your subject and your learning needs. We encourage you to come in on a regular basis to receive checks for understanding, help on subjects, and quiz/test preparation. We look forward to seeing you!

Friday-  9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Saturday-  closed
Sunday-  1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Making Appointments at CAS

To create or cancel a tutoring appointment you can either email us at [email protected] or visit us on the third floor of Tomlinson Library room 305.

Appointment Limitations: 
  • If a student is more than 15-minutes late to their appointment, that appointment is lost and any other student who walks in is able to take that spot
  • A student can make up to 2 appointments per day per subject 
  • A student can make up to 2 reoccurring appointments a week per subject 
  • If a student misses more than 2 of their reoccurring appointments without any communication, the reoccurring appointment will be canceled 

Although this might feel inconvenient, these policies make sure other students on campus also have the chance to get the help they need. 

On our main campus, tutors are available in-person to assist you with a variety of subjects and courses. 

Below are the courses that we currently have tutors for. Please contact the CAS office for information on specific times and locations of tutors per subject area. (They do vary)

If there is a class that you need help with but is not listed below, please reach out to the CAS about finding a tutor for your subject areas. 

*While the CAS has tutors on-hand all throughout the day, some specific class tutors may not be available at all hours. Our tutors have varying schedules, so stop by or contact the CAS for information on tutor schedules regarding the subject areas you need help with!
